The Contradiction of Atheists in Times of Adversity: A Reading into the Psychology of Atheism

Among the most remarkable observations regarding those who deny the existence of the Creator, Glory be to Him, is the stark contradiction that emerges during calamities and hardships; where atheistic slogans dissolve and the latent fitrah (innate disposition) deep within the human soul surfaces. It has recently been observed that a large number of followers of the atheistic movement resort to using expressions of plea and supplication when one of their figures faces a crisis, which undermines the very foundations they attempt to promote.
This scene brings to mind the famous saying of the American preacher Billy Graham: "There are no atheists in foxholes"; for in moments of true danger, artificial philosophical masks fall away, and man finds himself compelled to acknowledge the Absolute Power that governs this universe.
A Message to the Advocates of False Enlightenment
Those who dedicate their lives to serving the agendas of spiritual atheism or material enlightenment overlook a major truth: the inevitability of death and standing before Allah, the Almighty. If these deniers resort to Allah during the crises of this world, what will their state be when they meet Him?
Fame and wealth did not prevent those before them from death, nor did they avail them anything against the justice and wrath of Allah. Therefore, every rational person must review themselves before it is too late, and realize that conspiring against religion and fighting the fitrah are manifest losses in this world and the Hereafter.
