The Tayyibat System: Between Illusion and the Silent Danger — Testimonies of the Affected

Written by
Dr. Haitham Talaat
Some well-meaning individuals believe that we are merely advising people against consuming chicken, eggs, or fiber! Comments appear such as: "Many have left legumes and their colon improved completely..." and other similar remarks.
Here, you have not grasped the essence of the problem.
The issue is not with a specific type of food, but rather the fundamental premise of the 'Tayyibat' system. This system, in its current formulation, may transform over months or a few years into a silent danger without the individual noticing, because it relies on severely reducing water intake over time.
The facial features of the Doctor (may Allah have mercy on him) in his final days were a clear indication of Dehydration. Furthermore, the 'Frank Sign' appeared on his ear—a well-known clinical sign among specialists that may indicate circulatory issues or an increased risk of heart disease, especially when combined with other factors. Nevertheless, this matter was not given due attention.
The Doctor (may Allah have mercy on him) had stated that he consumed only very minute quantities of water throughout the day, not exceeding a few sips, which he described as equivalent to a quarter of a small cup.
The System as a Substitute for Medicine
The problem is that the Tayyibat system was not presented merely as a dietary regimen, but was proposed as a substitute for medicine, reaching the point where medical Guidelines were described as worthless—which practically means rejecting the scientific foundation of medicine.
When sudden deaths occur due to blood clots, the cause is attributed to marginal matters, such as a type of food consumed before death, rather than looking at the complete clinical picture.
Grave Dangers to Patient Lives
Even more dangerous is the recommendation to stop insulin for Type 1 diabetic patients. This is extremely hazardous, as no dietary system in the world can compensate for insulin in this condition.
Recommendations were also made to stop blood pressure medications, immunosuppressants for organ transplant patients, and other measures that may place patients' lives at risk.
Medical Risk Analysis
My personal analysis is that strict adherence to this system may lead to physiological imbalances, such as increased blood viscosity due to fluid deficiency, which may gradually affect consciousness, especially with the disruption of vital electrolyte balance. This is in addition to the combination of:
Increased sugar intake
Reduced water intake
Cessation of insulin
This may lead to disturbances in sodium and potassium levels, which can cause serious cardiac arrhythmias.
Testimonies of the Affected
History is replete with similar examples: those who relied on extreme diets and were harmed by them, and those who rejected medical treatment in favor of dietary systems, leading to tragic results. These are some testimonies from those affected:
Conclusion
If you wish to stop eating legumes because of the colon—that is an entirely personal decision. If you wish to reduce certain types of food—that is also your affair. But the issue does not lie there. The issue is in the fundamental premise of the system:
Reducing water + Stopping treatment + Increasing sugars and fats + Reducing fiber
This combination, in this form, may turn into a real danger over time.
I do not impose an opinion on anyone, but my concern for you is what drives me to speak, even if I am subjected to criticism.
Ultimately: Correct treatment, even if slow, is far better than quick solutions that may be misleading and dangerous.
O Allah, heal our sick, forgive our deceased, and have mercy upon us with Your mercy. 🤍
I love you for the sake of Allah, and my concern for you is the sole motivation for these words.
