Dispensational Christianity and the Influence of the Scofield Bible on International Politics

We are currently witnessing an escalation in what is described as the final stage of the Sixth Dispensation; one of the seven dispensations that, according to this conception, extend from the creation of Adam (peace be upon him) until the Day of Resurrection. This perspective is not merely a passing religious reading, but rather a fundamental pillar in the thought of a broad movement that influences the global scene.
Components of the Dispensational Vision
According to this conception, the Seventh Dispensation is expected to begin with a series of sequential and dramatic events, including the building of the alleged Temple, what is termed the Rapture of believers, leading to the appearance of beings called 'The Greys', and the descent of Christ, ending this series with the Day of Resurrection.
The Scofield Bible and Intellectual Roots
This vision derives its legitimacy from a commentary known as the Scofield Reference Bible, which is the reference adopted by approximately 250 million Christians worldwide, particularly within the Dispensational Christian Zionist movement. This interpretation did not stop at the boundaries of religious preaching, but transcended them to become an active intellectual and political driver.
Political and Geopolitical Dimensions
Analysts believe that this doctrinal discourse contributed directly to shaping intellectual and political trends that influenced United States movements in the Middle East. Many strategic decisions are linked, at their core, to perceptions and prophecies mentioned in this commentary, making an understanding of this doctrine a necessity for comprehending the backgrounds of contemporary international politics.
Analyzing this vision and its doctrinal background reveals to us how distorted religious texts are harnessed to serve expansionist political agendas, and how current conflicts are viewed through a distorted prophetic lens.
