The 'Buddhization' of Islam: A Critique of Creedal Dilution and the Erasure of the Duty of Denunciation

Common.writtenBy
Those who label themselves 'Enlightened' or 'Secularists' seek to formulate a new pattern of religiosity—a pattern that renders the Muslim a passive being, whose conscience remains unmoved and whose countenance never changes in anger when the sanctities of Allah are violated or vices are witnessed. They desire a Muslim who adopts the slogan 'It is none of my business,' withdrawing into total emotional isolation from the falsehood surrounding them.
This model they promote is nothing but a dilution of the faith, an attempt to manufacture an 'Islam with a Buddhist flavor,' characterized by false tranquility and absolute acceptance of everything. The Prophet ﷺ warned of the consequences of abandoning the duty of enjoining good and forbidding evil; in the Sahih Hadith:
The Hour will not be established until Allah takes His elite from the people of the earth, leaving behind the dregs who neither recognize virtue nor denounce vice.
(Narrated by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad)
Those who demand that you be 'cute' and accepting of every deviation are the very ones who will remain silent when the sanctities are demolished. Indeed, the texts of Revelation inform us of a time when people reach such a state of humiliation that they remain silent even at the destruction of the Kaaba, as stated in the Hadith: "The Kaaba will be destroyed by Dhul-Suwayqatayn from Abyssinia," and in another narration: "He will demolish it stone by stone, and cast it into the sea.".
In that time, the Sacred House of Allah is demolished and no one objects. Should anyone dare to protest, they would find among these 'Enlightened' ones those who mock them and ridicule their protective jealousy (Ghayrah). The essence of their call is for you to accept the destruction of your sanctities, to feel no pride in your religion, and for your face never to redden in anger for the sake of Allah. They want a diluted, 'fat-free' Islam that neither stands against falsehood nor champions the truth.
