The Incoherence of 'Takween Center' Claims: Refuting Ibrahim Issa's Fallacies Regarding the Prophetic Biography

Common.writtenBy
Under the guise of what is promoted as 'Enlightenment,' the so-called 'Takween Center' launched its first episodes targeting the constants of religion, foremost among them the purified Prophetic Sunnah. The content was presented under a questioning title regarding the authenticity of the Prophetic Biography (Sīrah), yet the substance drifted toward sowing doubt and attacking established historical sources.
Refuting Historical Fallacies and Manuscripts
The program host claimed that only two copies of the manuscripts of Sīrat Ibn Hishām exist in the world; one in Austria and the other in Paris. This is a false claim that contradicts documented reality; researchers have proven the existence of 22 manuscripts of this Sīrah within the Arab Republic of Egypt alone.
He also claimed that Muhammad ibn Ishaq was the first to write the Sīrah, ignoring that the events of the Sīrah were recorded and narrated in the books of Hadith circulated among the Companions and the Successors (Tabi'un) before the birth of Ibn Ishaq's father himself. Even more egregious is the claim that Urwah ibn al-Zubayr accused Ibn Ishaq of lying, which is historically impossible; Urwah passed away in 94 AH, while Ibn Ishaq passed away in 150 AH.
Attacking the Companions and the Center's Objectives
The matter did not stop at historical falsification; the center utilized individuals who openly profess atheism to attack the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, led by the Rightly Guided Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him. This confirms that the goal is not scientific research, but rather the destruction of the foundations of Islam.
Whoever harms the Companions only intends [to harm] Islam.

The Duty of the Hour
What we are witnessing is a lavishly funded project of skepticism that relies on visual production and intensive promotion to compensate for the weakness of its scholarly content. Therefore, the responsibility lies with every conscious Muslim to do the following:
Warn against the suspicious objectives of this center.
Educate the rising generation on the facts of the Sīrah and the Prophetic Sunnah.
Do not leave the arena vacant for revisionist discourse, and publish documented scholarly facts.
