The Danger of Atheistic Organizations and the Necessity of Enforcing Blasphemy Laws

The systematic transgression against the sanctities of Islam and the public mockery of the verses of the Holy Qur’an and the purified Prophetic Sunnah that we witness today are no longer merely individual opinions; rather, they have transformed into an organized behavior seeking to impose guardianship over the Islamic conscience. Those who use the fight against terrorism as a bridge to attack Sharia are practicing a form of esoteric atheism aimed at undermining the pillars of society.
Strategies Employed in Targeting Constants
These currents rely on a strategy of intellectual and legal intimidation; while impugning Imam al-Bukhari and religious constants is permitted, anyone attempting to defend their religion is met with incitement and malicious complaints aimed at casting scholars and reformers into the depths of prison. It is an attempt to turn criticism into gangs lying in wait for anyone who exposes their agendas.
Proposals to Confront Atheistic Extremism
In the face of this imminent danger threatening the cohesion and values of society, we present these points as a warning to the relevant authorities:
The necessity of activating blasphemy laws with strictness and firmness without equivocation.
Raising the ceiling of prescribed penalties for the crime of contempt of religion to serve as a deterrent to anyone who contemplates violating the sanctities.
Dealing with esoteric atheism (which attacks the Sunnah and constants) with the same legal degree as explicit contempt of religion.
Classifying atheistic organizations hostile to Islam as organizations that pose a direct threat to national security, no less dangerous than terrorist organizations in their threat to the safety of society.
History repeats itself, and we find in the experience of the League of Militant Atheists a lesson and an example; where the matter began with mockery and ended with attempts at the complete eradication of religious identity.
