An observer of the contemporary intellectual landscape notices the rise of currents attempting to blend Eastern pagan beliefs with Islam. Among the most prominent figures promoting these alien ideas is Ahmed Emara, who has utilized practices of so-called 'Energy Healing' as an entry point to disseminate strange ideas that have no relation to Islam.
Subjugating Texts to Pagan Doctrines
Emara has deliberately imported purely Hindu and pagan concepts, such as Meditation (Transcendental Meditation) and Chakras, attempting to clothe them in Islamic garb in a manner that violates the principles of scriptural inference. The matter did not stop there; he further intruded concepts like Yin and Yang and Karma into the core of religious discourse, distorting Sharia texts to align with these materialistic and pagan philosophies.
Emara's Stance on Established Sharia Principles
The danger of this methodology is not limited to creed alone, but extends to the systematic questioning of the Prophetic Sunnah and authentic Hadiths, and the opposition to settled religious constants such as the Hijab and definitive Sharia rulings. This destabilizes certainty in the hearts of Muslims and opens the door to deviant esoteric interpretations.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'The Hour will not be established until tribes from my Ummah join the polytheists, and until they worship idols.'
Exercising caution regarding these propositions is a Sharia obligation for every Muslim protective of their faith. Protecting the creed from impurities and warning against methodologies that plant misguidance in hearts under the guises of human development or spiritual healing is a collective responsibility.
