The Context Behind Warnings Against Milk: Between Medical Claims and Pagan Philosophies

Recently, videos of an Egyptian physician warning the public against drinking milk have circulated widely, gaining significant traction and belief among many. While medical professionals have attempted to refute these claims from a purely clinical perspective, there remains a missing dimension that has not been sufficiently highlighted: the philosophical roots from which this discourse originates.
The Connection to Taoist Philosophies
The truth behind this warning is not rooted in established medical reasons as much as it is linked to pagan East Asian philosophies, specifically the concept of Yin and Yang in Taoism. These philosophies claim that milk increases negative Yin in the human body, and based on this metaphysical conception, its consumption is strictly forbidden.
These intellectual systems are built upon the marginalization of reason and the scientific method, calling for the rejection of animal protein and an absolute focus on practices such as meditation, yoga, and energy healing. More dangerously, some practitioners of these rituals resort to using hallucinogenic herbs in private retreats under the guise of spiritual healing.
The Necessity of Critical Awareness
We attempted to contact the aforementioned physician to discuss these philosophical foundations and invite him to review his propositions, but those attempts were not successful. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize that awareness is the first line of defense; a Muslim should not be led by every glittering call without scrutinizing its origins and seeking facts based on sound science and the upright path.
