Warning the Muslim Against the Exploitation of Disconnected Letters in Talismans and Kabbalistic Numerology

Recently, videos have proliferated across digital platforms promoting the so-called "secrets of the Disconnected Letters" (Huroof al-Muqatta'at) such as (Kaf-Ha-Ya-Ayn-Sad), claiming they are keys to unlocking the treasures of the earth or achieving empowerment through obscure spiritual rituals. This path is nothing but a form of spiritual magic (Sihr) cloaked in the garb of religion. It is an extension of what was contained in ancient books of misguidance, such as Shams al-Ma'arif (The Sun of Gnosis), which dedicated chapters to linking Quranic verses with talismans.

The Quran Between Devotion and Magical Exploitation

The current popularity of Kabbalistic numbers (such as 369 or 1111) and their integration with Quranic verses is a revival of the magical sciences that emerged after the Babylonian captivity. In this practice, the Word of God is treated as "energetic repetitions" or magical incantations, which contradicts the purpose and guidance of Revelation.

The Prophetic Prophecy of the Appearance of Quranic Devils

The Prophet ﷺ warned us of this dangerous conflation, as recorded in Sahih Muslim:

«In the sea there are imprisoned devils whom Solomon fettered; they are about to emerge and recite a Quran to the people.»

This Hadith clearly points to the exploitation of sacred texts by devils at the end of time to spread misguidance and fitnah among people. This is manifested today in the methods of the 'New Spiritualists' who blend the Quran with Kabbalistic numerology.

Therefore, it is incumbent upon the Muslim to beware of these calls, to adhere to the correct understanding of the Book and the Sunnah, and to maintain the certainty that the Quran is a book of guidance and worship, not a means for divination and sorcery.
