The Crimes of Pol Pot: When Atheistic Enlightenment Transforms into Genocide

Under the pretext of protecting people from religion, and in the pursuit of spreading materialist enlightenment values, atheistic regimes have committed some of the most heinous historical crimes, the evidence of which remains etched in human memory.
The model of the atheist tyrant Pol Pot stands out here, as he led the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Based on official documents and recorded historical facts, this regime caused the deaths of approximately one-quarter of the Cambodian people.
These practices were not merely transient incidents, but rather a practical application of an extremist atheistic vision that views religion as an evil to be eradicated, and killing as a means to reshape society according to a purely materialist perspective. This reveals the falsehood of slogans raised by certain contemporary enlightenment movements that confine evil to religiosity alone while ignoring the bloodiness of political atheism.
