The Preservation of the Qur'anic Text and the Incoherence of Contemporary Distortion Attempts

The entire Islamic Ummah, from East to West, possesses no entity—regardless of its influence—with the power to suspend a single verse of the Book of Allah, the Almighty, or to alter His rulings. This is because Islam is a religion devoid of a clerical system; no human authority stands above the authority of Revelation, and no one holds guardianship over the Word of the Lord of the Worlds.
From this premise, we address those movements attempting to tamper with the constants, whether represented by the Takween institution or the followers of the Shahruri school and those who follow their path of deviant modernist readings: This religion is the pure religion of Allah; it belongs to no one, and Allah has undertaken its preservation and protection.
But Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
Any attempt to change the meanings of the verses or to empty them of their true substance, as established by the collective understanding of the Ummah, is an attempt doomed to utter failure. The Islamic Ummah, through its collective consciousness and its firmly grounded scholars, will simply transcend these obstacles; for the Noble Qur'an does not require a defense from a position of weakness, but rather it is the Prevailing Book that guides to that which is most upright and preserves itself through the passage of time.
