The Virtue of Constant Glorification and Praise in the Morning and Evening

It is a profound loss for a Muslim to neglect remembrances that are simple in structure yet immense in meaning and heavy in the scales before Allah, the Exalted. Among these is this noble Prophetic remembrance that opens the gates of precedence for the servant on the Day of Resurrection.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He who says in the morning and in the evening: 'Glory be to Allah and His is the praise' (Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi) one hundred times, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better than what he has brought, except one who said the like of what he said or more."
Narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih.
The Significance of the Hadith and the Jurisprudence of Action
It is inferred from this Hadith that the one who persists in this specific glorification and praise will not be surpassed by anyone in reward and merit on the Day of Resurrection. No one shall excel them in deeds except for one category: those who performed the same remembrance and then added further acts of obedience and devotion.
It is a call to compete in good deeds and to invest time in the remembrance of Allah—which is the easiest of worships yet the highest in rank—so that the servant may be among the foremost brought near to Him.
