The Juridical and Empirical Correlation Between Adultery and the Taking of Life

There are statistical facts that may appear shocking on the surface, yet they are documented in our contemporary reality. According to statistics from the global Worldometer website, the number of fetuses whose lives were terminated during the current year has exceeded approximately thirty-four million, as a direct consequence of illicit relations or what is termed 'consensual adultery'.
Here, the precision of the Qur'anic discourse and its legislative inimitability are revealed, as the Almighty combined the warning against adultery and the warning against the taking of life within a single context, demonstrating the catastrophic consequences of violating sacred boundaries:
{And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin (31) And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way (32) And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden}
Surah al-Isra'
These alarming figures reveal a dark dimension of the realities associated with calls for cohabitation promoted by some—realities overlooked by many, while secular advocates deliberately turn a blind eye to their moral and social repercussions. Raising awareness of these outcomes is a religious and ethical responsibility to protect the fabric of society and preserve human life.
