Between Scientific Rigor and Ideological Claims: Reflections on Evolutionary Theory

Whoever contemplates the contemporary scene finds a vast chasm between what is promoted on public platforms as absolute scientific facts and the rigorous scientific reviews provided by leading specialists. While some insist on repeating phrases like "evolution is a scientific fact" without scrutiny, we find that scientific literature is rife with fundamental problems that strike at the very heart of this theory.
Michael Denton's Challenges and Fossil Record Gaps
In his famous book (Evolution: A Theory in Crisis), the researcher Michael Denton presented sixty-four scientific challenges, demonstrating the existence of a real barrier between types of living organisms and explaining that the concept of the "missing link" does not exist because the continuous chain itself is absent. Denton went further by describing the theory in its current state as food that has not ripened—indeed, it has not even been cooked—yet people are expected to swallow it by force.
The matter did not stop there; Denton followed his thesis with a second book (Evolution: Still a Theory in Crisis), in which he detailed challenges at the level of evolutionary developmental biology (Evo-devo), demonstrating the sudden appearance of complex organs such as feathers, fins, and the placenta, which contradicts the principle of Darwinian gradualism.
Reviews by Darwinists Themselves
Interestingly, the criticism was not limited to proponents of design but came from within the atheistic and Darwinian house itself. Jerry Fodor and Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini in their book (What Darwin Got Wrong) provided a harsh review of the theory, asserting in the introduction that their critique is not motivated by religious or faith-based reasons, but is a purely scientific critique of a fatal error at the core of the theory.
Conclusion
True science is that which is based on research, review, and the acknowledgment of gaps, not that which turns into slogans repeated to attract digital engagement. The difference between "the work of scholars" and media spectacle lies in respecting scientific evidence and the ability to confront the challenges posed by the leading researchers in this field.
