Innovation and the Manipulation of Consciousness: A Study of Contemporary Satanic Inroads

One who contemplates contemporary deviant paths finds a hidden link connecting various phenomena. What is the common denominator between what is called Sufi ecstasy among extremists—and the subsequent claims of seeing the Prophet ﷺ in a physical state—and what is promoted by practitioners of Yoga regarding the silencing of the mind, the practices of energy healers in meditation sessions, and even the promoters of Subliminals and the repetition of innovated litanies (Awrad) thousands of times?

Bid'ah as a Satanic Offering

The commonality between all these paths is Bid'ah (religious innovation). In reality, it is an offering presented to Iblis, accompanied by a systematic manipulation of consciousness and an alteration of the natural state of perception, after which Satan begins his mastery over both body and mind. Iblis cannot perform his work fully except when human consciousness weakens and vigilance fades.

It is for this profound reason that Adhkar (remembrances) were prescribed before sleep, and seeking refuge from the trials of death was ordained, due to the natural decline in vigilance and perception accompanying these two states. When artificially induced weakness of consciousness meets an innovated offering, the individual stands at the threshold of what is termed Satanic reinforcements (amdad), which Iblis provides to his allies to divert them from the Straight Path of Allah.

A Warning Against the New Innovators

Great caution must be exercised regarding the wave of new innovators, whether they be energy healers, extremist Sufis, or sorcerers disguised in the garb of spirituality. Following these illusions makes one's faith and intellect easy prey for the Whisperer (Al-Khannas) and turns the body into an arena for satanic manipulation under the guises of 'divine aid' and 'revelations'.
