How can one respond to those who claim linguistic weakness in the Holy Qur’an while they themselves have not mastered the fundamentals of the Arabic language?
One of the greatest calamities afflicting this generation is the audacity to speak without knowledge, and the absence of due reverence for specialists, particularly in matters pertaining to Revelation and Arabic eloquence.
We have observed instances of youth who cannot correctly read a single Arabic sentence without grammatical error, yet they possess the temerity to claim that "the Qur'an is linguistically weak"! This raises a fundamental question regarding the scientific methodology followed by such individuals.
Lack of Competence in Criticism
How can it be sound for a rational person to pass judgment on a language when they fail at the very principles of reading it? Linguistically critiquing the Qur'anic text requires extensive mastery of the sciences of grammar, morphology, and rhetoric—sciences in which these detractors have never opened a single book in their lives.
This phenomenon reflects a state of intellectual bankruptcy, where ignorance of the language is transformed into a tool for critiquing the greatest linguistic text known to humanity; this is what logic defines as a corruption of inference and a lack of competence.
It is the duty of anyone seeking the truth to respect specialization, and to realize that the language of the Qur'an, which incapacitated the most eloquent of Arabs at the height of their power, will not be undermined by those who cannot even articulate two sentences correctly.
